metaphor in sight
Metaphors are frequently used in advertising as a way to enhance the perceived value of a product or to make it seem more personal. They can also help create a particular brand image. An advertising metaphor often combines a verbal phrase with a visual image to dramatice the effect.
The visual shown is an image of a
broccoli. The shape of the broccoli represent a kidney. The advertisement is
about health advertisement which is to avoid kidney failure. The message that
the advertiser wanted to give to the people is to eat a healthy lifestyle so
that they do not get kidney failure. The copy “eat right for them” tell people
to eat healthy for their body. ‘Eat’ represent vegetables and ‘them’ represent
the organs in a human body.
The visual shown is an eagle with
a spectacle leg behind. The advertiser wanted to tell the viewer that the Sears’
optical spectacles can make the user eye sight to see much more clear like an
eagle looking for its prey. The eagle represent the lens that they use. This tells
that their lens are high quality and clear.
