Bad Typography

  Bad typography can be seen in many place. These typography causes people to have difficulty to read the text and to understand it. Below are bad typography that are found in Malaysia.

1) Mask product.

       This mask product is considered as bad typography because of its use of font. It is hard to read it. People have trouble ready it, some may read it as ‘Gel Hit Min’ or ‘Gel Hiut Miun’ or any other names that they think it sound as. The designer should use a simple font with san serif such as arial, times new roman or franklin gothic.

2) Muaz promotion banner.

    This promotion banner is considered bad typography because it uses a lot of different font in it the banner. There at atleast 4 types of font in the banner. This makes the banner looks pack and hard to read. The paragraph use in this banner is also unbalance because it uses 3 type of paragraph which is center and align left. The designer should lessen the use of font and paragraph.

3) Menu poster

     

     This menu banner is considered as a bad typography because it use serif font for its menu. Eventhough it can still be well read but it does not attract people to read it since it took time for them to read the menu. The designer should use a san serif font so that it will be easier to read.
